This biography of William Grimshaw of Haworth is a remarkable account of someone whose life and ministry was so influential in the wonderful years of the eighteenth century Evangelical Awakening. To date he has been relatively unknown and this full-scale study should bring this rugged, gifted and zealous evangelist, who lived for the spread of the gospel and the good of the church, to the notice of the Christian church. Faith Cook has produced a most readable as well as a reliable narrative.
