This booklet is taken from an address given at Colnbrook Strict Baptist Chapel on behalf of the Sovereign Grace Union. Mr Parsons traces the history of the free will controversy; from the early church, to the present day; and having shown the notion to be utterly contrary to the true Gospel, he sounds a warning to the churches today: There can only be one completely ‘free’ will, and it is either the will of God as the dread Sovereign over all creation; or the will of man in his wretched state as God’s enemy. If the one is given just an ounce of free will, then the will of the other is restricted. Well, whose will is free? Is it to be the will of man; or the will of Almighty God?
