However the translator and editor of this 5 sermon series on the Beatitudes reminds us that it was his pulpit ministry that had the greatest effect on Geneva. Calvin was above all a preacher. The Word of God preached has the promise attached that it ‘will not return unto him void’. These sermons have never before been available in English.
