In a gripping manner the story is retold of the last week in the life of Jesus before his crucifixion. The characters involved in the events of those last days are vividly portrayed: Judas, Peter, Pilate, Herod, Barabbas, Simon of Cyrene, the dying thief. Their part in all that was purposed of God to take place is well brought out, together with the eternal significance of the cross. This is a thoroughly good read from a well loved preacher who was forced to give up pastoral work in Wales after many years due to the onset of multiple sclerosis. However, in the providence of God it has allowed his colourful writing talent to come to the fore.
