The famous Reformation historian gave an address to a large audience in Geneva on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of Calvin’s death. He entitled it ‘Calvin’s Teaching for the Present Day’. In a very admirable and uplifting manner he made mention only glancingly of Calvin, but most fully of Calvin’s Lord, as he believed that Calvin’s teaching centred on Christ. This is excellent.
