The doctrine of Eternal Justification is here vigorously defended, with especial reference to the writings of the learned Dr Gill on the subject. The glorious truth is that sinners are not only chosen to salvation from before the foundation of the world, but ‘chosen in him’ – that is, Christ. Therefore the elect are ‘accepted in the beloved’ from eternity in the foreknowledge of God. This Christ came into the world in due time to make manifest at Calvary.
