F W Krummacher (1796-1868) vigorously opposed the prevailing rationalism in his native Germany as an influential leader in the Evangelical Alliance. This is a thorough biography of the prophet Elisha, in which his rich imagination, together with biblical accuracy, makes for a compelling read. Kummacher makes warm personal application of lessons drawn from Elisha’s life and ministry.
