Published after his death, this commentary is classic Don Fortner. Just as Paul instructed the believers at Philippi, Fortner reminds us we always have reason to rejoice. Throughout the commentary Fortner encourages us to press on toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. He reminds us that if we have Christ, we have that which the world did not give and can never take from us.
