This is an exposition of 1 Corinthians 13 in a series of lectures given in 1738 by the famous ‘metaphysical divine’ just before ‘the Great Awakening’ of 1740. The concluding chapter on heaven as a world of love is judged as perhaps the most beautiful in all Jonathan Edwards’ writings.
